AMRI Counseling Services (AMRI) is a Licensed and Certified Mental Health/ Substance Abuse Clinic providing an array of services including mental health and substance abuse assessments, counseling and supportive services for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families of Milwaukee WI, Kenosha, WI, Miami, FL and surrounding areas. Our services are designed to meet each client where they are while supporting healing, recovery, personal growth, stronger relationships, and overall well-being.

Mental Health Assessments & Counseling
Our Mental Health Assessment and Counseling Program supports individuals experiencing emotional, behavioral, relational, or mental health concerns that may be affecting their daily lives. Each client’s needs are unique. Services are individualized and tailored to the client’s specific goals, strengths, challenges, and therapeutic needs. Counseling services may address concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, stress, relationships, life transitions, behavioral concerns, and overall emotional wellness.
Substance Use / Alcohol & Drug Assessments and Counseling
Our Substance Use Program provides comprehensive assessment and counseling for individuals experiencing alcohol- or drug-related concerns. Services are designed to help clients better understand substance use patterns, identify triggers, develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen recovery skills, and reduce the impact of substance use on their lives. Depending on program requirements and individual needs, clients may participate in counseling and alcohol and drug testing.
Drug & Alcohol Testing
AMRI provides drug and alcohol testing services for individuals who require testing for treatment, monitoring, court-related matters, employment, or other approved purposes. Testing services are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Our testing services support accountability, recovery, safety, and compliance with established program requirements.
Correctional / Offender Treatment
Our Correctional and Offender Treatment Program provides structured therapeutic support for individuals whose behavioral choices have resulted in legal, personal, family, or community consequences. Treatment focuses on helping clients identify unhealthy patterns of thinking and behavior, develop healthier decision-making and coping skills, strengthen personal accountability, and successfully reintegrate into their families and communities. Because every client’s circumstances are different, treatment is individualized based on identified clinical needs and treatment goals.
Driver Safety Programming
Our Driver Safety Program addresses alcohol- and drug-related concerns with an emphasis on responsible decision-making, behavioral change, and the safety of both the client and the community. Programming may include counseling, education, relapse-prevention strategies, and alcohol and drug testing based on program requirements. The goal is to help clients develop the knowledge, skills, and behavioral changes necessary to make safer choices when operating a motor vehicle.
Court-Ordered Treatment
AMRI provides structured treatment services for individuals who have been ordered or referred to participate in mental health and/or substance use services. Court-ordered programming may include assessment, counseling, education, monitoring, and other requirements established by the applicable program or referral source. For designated 12-week programs, clients who successfully satisfy all applicable program requirements may receive a Certificate of Completion.
Family Supportive Services
Our Family Supportive Services Program helps individuals and families address practical needs that may affect their stability, independence, and overall well-being.
Supportive services may include:

Services are available Monday through Friday, with daytime, evening and weekend availability.
Specialized Programming
First Episode Psychosis (FEP)
Our First Episode Psychosis Program provides specialized support for individuals experiencing early or first-episode psychosis. The program emphasizes early intervention, recovery, education, family involvement, coordinated care, and evidence-based practices designed to improve functioning and long-term outcomes. Services are individualized to help participants work toward personal, educational, vocational, social, and recovery goals.

AMRI provides practicum and internship opportunities for eligible undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers in behavioral health and human services. AMRI provides clinical supervision, professional training, and consultation for students, in-training clinicians, independently licensed professionals, and behavioral health organizations. Services may include individual and group supervision, professional development, case consultation, documentation support, clinical training, and guidance related to behavioral health practice. Our goal is to support professional growth, strengthen clinical competency, and promote ethical, high-quality service delivery.
Business Counseling & Professional Consultation
AMRI provides consultation and supportive services to professionals, entrepreneurs, businesses, and organizations. Services are tailored to the needs of the individual or organization and may address workplace challenges, leadership development, communication, employee well-being, organizational stress, conflict resolution, professional growth, and other areas affecting workplace effectiveness.
Corporate Mental Wellness Programming
AMRI partners with small, midsize, and large businesses and corporations to develop customized mental wellness initiatives for their workforce. Our goal is to help organizations move beyond simply discussing workplace wellness and begin incorporating meaningful, actionable mental health strategies into their everyday operations and organizational culture. Programming may include employee wellness education, mental health workshops, stress-management strategies, leadership consultation, workplace wellness initiatives, and customized programming based on organizational needs.
Building healthier people, stronger families, better professionals, and healthier workplaces.
This intervention is provided by independently licensed psychotherapist, licensed mental health counselors, counselors in training and licensed, independent social workers. The format of these services is individual, couple, family, and/or group sessions. All age groups are treated. Treatment is tailored to the needs of the individual and is guided by an individualized treatment plan based on a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment of the individual and his/her family, if appropriate.
Substance Abuse and Addiction treatment services provide professionally-directed evaluation, treatment, and recovery services to persons with substance related disorders. Interventions are provided by practitioners who are licensed substance abuse counselors or in training substance abuse counselors. These services are provided through individual, family and group modalities. Groups consist of a twelve -week program that meets 2 hours per week. Services are designed to treat the individual’s level of illness severity and to achieve significant changes in an individual’s addictive behavior. Treatment is tailored to the needs of the individual and guided by an individualized treatment plan based on a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment of the individual and his/her family, if appropriate.
Alcohol and Drug Testing is provided and required as a part of substance abuse treatment services at AMRI Counseling Services.
AMRI Telehealth Services includes Mental Health or Substance Use Evaluation and Counseling, Family Support Services, Medication Evaluation and Medication Stabilization Services. These service are offered by AMRI Counseling Services Staff in-office, via telephone/audio, video and is provided by a Doctor, Psychiatrist, Nurse Practitioner, Therapist or other level clinical provider. Our Telehealth Services functionality is equivalent to face-to-face contact. Specially for Medication Services, We recommend contacting our partners listed below or your insurance company for a referral.
