First Episode Psychosis (FEP) Program
AMRI Counseling Services offers a comprehensive First Episode Psychosis (FEP) program designed to support individuals experiencing their initial episode of psychosis. The program emphasizes early intervention and utilizes evidence-based practices to promote recovery and improve long-term outcomes. Key components of the program include:
•Individual Therapy: Personalized counseling sessions to help clients understand and manage their experiences, develop coping strategies, and set recovery goals.
•Family Support and Education: Engaging family members in the treatment process through education about psychosis, communication skills training, and support groups to foster a supportive home environment.
•Medication Management: Collaboration with psychiatric professionals to assess the need for medication, monitor its effectiveness, and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring a balanced approach to symptom management.
•Supported Employment and Education Services: Assistance in returning to or maintaining work and educational pursuits, recognizing the importance of these activities in the recovery process.
•Case Management: Coordination of care to connect clients with community resources, support services, and additional treatment options tailored to their unique needs.
The program is grounded in the principles of Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC), which integrates these services into a cohesive treatment plan. This approach has been shown to be effective in improving outcomes for individuals experiencing early psychosis.
