Telehealth (Phone & Video Counseling)

All services at AMRI Counseling Services are provided not only in person but also accessible, secure and confidential via Internet Based Video Counseling and Phone Counseling  called Telehealth or Tele-therapy. You can schedule a convenient time that works for you from the comfort of your own home, office or other remote location.

Telehealth allows you to receive services in a confidential and convenient manner as well as decreasing many barriers to treatment.

Our telehealth platform is secure and HIPPA compliant.

A secure and HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform is designed to protect clients’ privacy and ensure the confidentiality of their health information during virtual therapy sessions. Here’s what this entails:

1.Encryption: Data, including audio, video, and messages, is encrypted both in transit and at rest. This means that information is coded so only authorized parties (the client and therapist) can access it, preventing unauthorized viewing or interception.

2.Access Controls: Strict access control measures are in place, ensuring that only authorized individuals (such as the therapist and the client) can log into the telehealth session. This includes secure login methods, such as unique passwords, two-factor authentication, and, in some cases, biometric logins.

3.Audit Trails: The platform keeps records of when and how client data is accessed, modified, or shared. These audit trails are required by HIPAA to help detect unauthorized access or breaches.

4.Data Protection Policies: HIPAA-compliant platforms follow strict policies on how data is stored, accessed, and shared. This includes measures to prevent unauthorized sharing and to ensure data is deleted properly when no longer needed.

5.End-to-End Security: The platform secures all components, including the app, servers, and network, and protects against malware, phishing attacks, and other security threats.

6.Business Associate Agreement (BAA): Telehealth providers sign a BAA with the platform provider, ensuring that all parties handling health information comply with HIPAA requirements.

Having a secure HIPAA-compliant platform means you can trust that your personal and health information is protected during telehealth sessions, just as it would be in a traditional, in-office setting. This fosters trust and ensures compliance with federal privacy laws.
